A Trip to the Garage Our drive this year will begin in Gig Harbor and conclude with lunch at the Garage in west Bremerton. The Garage is a 21 and older facility. We will meet between 8 and 8:30 at the Safeway on Point Fosdick Drive in Gig Harbor. (Food, gas, coffee and restrooms) After a short drivers meeting around 8:30 we will head out. You may want to have a snacks with you to munch on at our rest stops since our lunch stop is at the end of the drive around 2:00 PM. We will head through Gig Harbor, parts of southern Kitsap county and then to our first rest stop at Gateway park on the Key Peninsula. After our stop, we will continue down and around the Key Peninsula area, then back up to Hwy. 302 and then to the town of Allyn for our second rest stop at Allyn Waterfront Park. After our stop in Allyn, we will go through Belfair, along the north shore of Hood Canal, through Tahuya to our next rest stop at Dewatto campground. From Dewatto we will head across to Bremerton by way of Bear Creek-Dewatto Road, (I'm sure there will be someone who will lead a more spirited drive up Bear Creek-Dewatto hill. For those who may not want to try it on two wheels, I will lead a more conservative run up it for you.) then along Old Belfair Hwy and around Kitsap Lake to our final destination and lunch at the Garage. The Garage is the home of the monster Bloody Mary if you are adventurous. www.thegaragekitsap.com
