Long Beach Weekend This year we are heading to a new location for our ocean weekend. Long Beach on the southern Washington coast is this years destination. We will be staying at the Chautauqua Lodge. We will meet at the Albertsons on Sedgewick Road at 8:00 AM After a short drivers meeting at 8:20 we will head out around 8:30 We will head out to Highway 302 going through Sunnyslope, past Carney Lake and Case inlet, then along the south shore of Hood Canal to our first rest stop at Twanoh State Park. From here we will continue along Hood Canal, then head south down Highway 101, along Shelton Valley Road and on W. Cloquallum Rd to Schaffer State Park for our second rest stop After our stop, we head south down the middle Satsop Road, through Montesano to Highway 101 and onto Raymond where we will have our lunch stop. We will also meet the members of the Mt. Hood Club here that will be joining us for the weekend. Restaurant space for a large group is limited in Raymond so we will separate here, get our lunch and meet back at the parking lot in town at about 1:30. From Raymond we will continue down Highway 101 to Long Beach and our final destination, the Chautaugua Lodge. The lodge is a combination of hotel rooms and privately owned condos, both types of accomodations will be available for this weekend. The hotel does not block rooms but we started with 40 rooms booked under Carla Boyde to hold the rooms. The rooms will be available for reservations until February 21st. After this date, rooms will be subject to availability and may not be at the reduced rate.
