Mt Baker Run

About this event

Baker

You won't want to miss out on this day trip to beautiful Mt Baker.  The view from the top is spectacular!

The roads to get there are great too!

After Mount Rainier, Baker is the most heavily glaciated of the Cascade volcanoes.  The volume of snow and ice on Mount Baker is greater than that of all the other Cascades volcanoes (except Rainier) combined. It is also one of the snowiest places in the world.  In 1999, Mount Baker Ski Area set the world record for snowfall in a single season 1,140 inches.

We’ll meet up at Haggen in Burlington at 8:30 and have a driver's meeting at 8:45. Heading out for Mt Baker at 9:00, we’ll take in the best back roads along the way.  At the top, weather permitting, we will be able to take lots of great shots of ours cars, and enjoy our picnic lunches.  The event ends at the top, so bring your hiking boots and some water if you want to wander the trails, snow permitting.

Bring a picnic lunch to eat in your car or you can buy lunch at the Heather Meadows Cafe.
They have tables inside with open dining.

Your event host has put in a special request for warm, sunny weather for the day, so get your registration in today for this event!
