We are hosting a Trunk or Treat again this year on Sunday, October 29
th from 11am - 2pm. I am reaching out to see if you and/or any of your members would consider participating in this event by being a Trunk Host. Attendance is high for this event with over 5,000 kids in attendance in previous years. We are expecting the same or more this year and need the help of people, groups, businesses, etc. to partner with us to make this event happen! A majority of those in attendance do not attend other events we have out here so this is a great opportunity for us to showcase everything they are missing!
You might be wondering: "What's expected from those who want to participate?" Well, we're looking for "Trunk Hosts"! To make this event truly amazing, we need a minimum of 200 candy stops. As a trunk host, your role involves bringing bags of candy (we recommend 5,000 pieces) and creatively decorating your vehicle or designated area. Whether you choose to use pop-ups, trailers, or just your vehicles, the goal is to make it enjoyable and entertaining. This is also a fantastic opportunity for groups to get involved. You can collaborate on displays while pooling your candy resources to ensure each child receives a treat.
Don't hesitate to dress up! The kids absolutely love seeing everyone's costumes, and adults enjoy it too!
Exciting New Feature:
This year, all attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite Trunk Host displays. The Trunk Host with the most votes will win 4 Tickets to the 2024 NHRA Northwest Nationals.
If you're interested in participating but are unable to distribute candy, your support in purchasing candy is greatly appreciated. This ensures that no child leaves empty-handed, even if they arrive later in the event. Typically, we spend around $3,000 on candy in addition to what our Trunk Hosts provide. Sometimes, we even need to make candy runs during the event to keep the fun going!
Please plan to arrive by 10:00 am on October 29th so you can be set up and ready to go by 10:30 am. This allows ample time for preparation before the gates open.
For your information, here are the two attendee options:
Option 1: Embark on the Road Course of Doom, winding your way through twists and turns while being surprised with candy and treats along the route. This slow-paced course promises thrills and delights for the entire family. The journey ends at The Tower of Trunks and Treats on Mark Lyle Boulevard, where you can park and explore the rest of the experience on foot.
Option 2: If the road course gets congested or if your family prefers to skip the driving portion, follow signs to head straight to The Tower of Trunks and Treats on Mark Lyle Boulevard. Here, additional trunk hosts await, along with a spoooooky lunch special and a fantastic photo opportunity near our Drag Strip.
