About this event
Cape Flattery Run
"Ride to the End of the Earth"
This fun ride on September 3rd, 2024 will start at the Lower Elwah Food and Fuel on Highway 101 in Port Angeles (4773 S Dry Creek Rd. and US-101 W) at 8:30 AM. You can get fuel, coffee, snacks, etc. Drivers Meeting at 8:45 AM, then Departure at 9:00 AM.
The first half of this run will be filled with beautiful scenery and exciting hairpin curves along Highway 112 National Scenic Byway to Neah Bay where we will stop for lunch at the Warmhouse Restaurant for lunch at approximately 12:00 noon. They serve delicious sandwiches, burgers, salads, fish-n-chips, etc. You will also be able to purchase the Makah Tribe Recreational Use Permit with a map for our outermost stop, Cape Flattery. Please bring comfortable walking shoes to walk the easy 3/4-mile trail to the cape and back (approx. 1 hour).
The second half of the run will take us back to Highway 101 and will lead to the scenic drive around beautiful Lake Crescent, stopping in at Granny’s Kitchen for the best soft serve ice cream on the peninsula. A perfect end to a perfect day!
This is the first year after COVID that we are doing this ride.
