About this event
Flowery Trail Flyover
One of our favorite local routes, this low mountain pass often lives up to its name, with abundant wildflowers. It is also the home of the 49 Degrees North ski area, which is open to auto traffic during the summer.
To our dismay, the road surface was very recently chip-sealed and is not Miata-friendly right now.
Meet in the parking lot of Master's Brewhouse in Deer Park, WA (831 S Main St, Deer Park, WA 99006) by 9:30 AM. After a short drivers' meeting, departure will be at about 10 AM.
UPDATE: Host Dennis Schult did a pre-drive of the Flowery Trail route and discovered that a good portion of the route has been recently chip-sealed.

While it was swept, there's still a fair amount of dust and gravel that won't be friendly to a group of roadsters with sticky tires.
However, Dennis already created a nice alternate route! The new drive will run along the Northshore Diamond Lake Road and through Spring Valley. Same start and end point in Deer Park. About 1.5 hours of driving time. Note that there will be a social break part way through but there are no accessible facilities along the route.
Same starting point and starting time, same ending point.

Long-term weather forecast is encouraging. Hope everyone can join in the fun.
Please bring a two-way radio for communication during the drive. Channel 5 will be used unless there is traffic already on it.
