Join us on Saturday, February 21st, 2026 as we explore the beautiful country backroads of Skagit County. We will meander our way to Fir Island to seek out the huge flocks of Snow Geese that gather in the Skagit Valley every winter. We will also seek the lovely white Trumpeter and Tundra swans. All of these lovely birds migrate from Alaska and Siberia seeking the warmer weather of Washington.
The afternoon will conclude with lunch at Moreno's Mexican Restaurant in Mt Vernon.
We will meet at 8:30 at the Walmart Supercenter parking lot 4010 172nd St, NE, Arlington. Our driver's meeting will be at 8:45. Then we will depart promptly at 9:00.
Please have a full tank of gas and snacks if lunch at 12:45-ish is late for you. Bring your binoculars for the best viewing!
