Jay Greening, a new member to Club Miata Northwest ~ is ready to take us on his favorite north end rides!
The backroads of the Seattle hinterlands are calling. This drive starts in Cathcart, north of Maltby, and dodges and weaves its way along the edge of the Snohomish and Skykomish River valleys to Sultan. There we loop back toward Monroe on yet more back roads for the first rest stop about an hour in. Then off again north through the woods past Lake Rosinger and Granite Falls on the eastern side of the Stillaguamish River to the apex of the drive in Arlington. After this second rest stop, the return leg comes back down the western side of the Stillaguamish River valley on Burn Rd. Southeast of Granite Falls we divert along a pastoral Pilchuck River valley, then zig zag through the Three Lakes area to end at the Blissed Small Batch Creamery in Snohomish.
This will entail 109 miles and a little over 3 hours of driving plus additional time at each of the stops.
